The Courtyard on St. James Place is one of our favorite wedding venues in Houston. It is the most unique wedding ceremony and reception destination in the Greater Houston Area, offering great and unusual backgrounds for any wedding photographer outdoors as well as indoors. We have photographed many events at this wedding and reception facility and hope to photograph many more weddings there in the future.
Lacie and Adam met at a New Year’s Eve party. If it weren’t for the mutual friend who introduced them, this fairytale love story may not have begun! Their first date was sweet; dinner and a movie. From there, it wasn’t hard for their love to blossom. Two fantastic people ~ absolutely perfect for each other!
To propose to Lacie, Adam recreated their first date! They went to the movies and the very same restaurant. Back at Lacie’s apartment, Adam had decorated the entire place with rose petals and candles, got down on one knee . . . and she said, “Yes”!
Ten months later, this happy couple was married at the Courtyard on St. James Place in the Galleria area! The Courtyard on St. James Place is well known in the Houston area as a premier wedding and reception venue. The atmosphere of old New Orleans, this hidden gem possesses unrivaled elegance, unequaled style, and uncompromising service. It’s no wonder that Lacie and Adam choose the Courtyard on St. James to celebrate their union! Although it had rained all morning (a sign of good luck, says the bride) the skies brightened up with sunshine just in time for an incredibly beautiful ceremony! Around 180 guests, as well as the bridal party, were witness to Lacie and Adam’s exchange of vows. The bride wore an exquisite dress by Mori Lee from Ventura’s Bridal. The guests enjoyed the festivities of the reception with the cake by Who Made the Cake. And the newlyweds were off to Cancun where their romantic journey continued!
