A wedding venue that captures the look and feel of vintage Texas is a treasured find for a Texas bride-to-be! Jennifer and David chose Olde Dobbin Station in Montgomery, Texas as their wedding venue. Once upon a time, in the early 1900s, the original buildings were used by oil companies as the ‘pumping station’. Due to the artesian water well on the property, the station became a place for community fellowship and remains a historical marker to locals. The McCoy family has beautifully restored these structures, and The Olde Dobbin Station has become a new hot spot for celebrating life! What wedding photographer would not LOVE a setting like this for some Texas country charm? This is real. This is vintage. This is Texas!

Jennifer and David’s wedding was downright special! SGI Photography agrees wholeheartedly with Jennifer’s description of how the elements come together in a delightful way: You spend months planning for this one important day! You purchase the flowers from one vendor, the linens from another, etc. and finally see all of the different pieces come together on the big day and it looks even better than you’d imagined! Her decision to heed some very good advice she received prior to their wedding day produced a great attitude! She recommends to every bride for their wedding day that they “ENJOY it!! Rain, fire, or flood enjoy it! There were a few different events that would likely have gotten to me if I hadn’t made my mind up ahead of time that I would embrace my wedding day no matter what the circumstance! The sash to my dress still at the store where it was pressed 2 hours before the ceremony, wrong colored flower petals delivered, pouring rain, waiting in a prep kitchen before the ceremony (you get the point) but it all made the day unique and memorable rather than ruined.”
In fact, the heavy downpour that occurred 45 minutes before the ceremony made way for the beautiful double rainbow that appeared overhead afterward! Like a blessing in disguise!
An adorable couple who met while waiting tables at Willie’s Icehouse, Jennifer and David knew how to have a good time celebrating their marriage with a couple hundred of their friends and family!
